To say that Language determines Thought is not to say that every possibility of thought has already been conceived in advance when the language was created.

Even respecting every last little grammar rule it is possible to say something the “creator” of the language couldn’t imagine.

Binary representation is an example: all the grammar is contained in silicon chips, and has been since forever (that is, the Epoch), but new and unforeseeable combinations of 0s and 1s are being created as we speak.

(The myth of the Library of Babel should have fallen right now, but the strength of a metaphor is still much greater than that of analysis — and this should be an example of the way Language determines Life).
